This week for kiwi can the topic communication. We play a game where you had to play scissors paper rock for all the kids in LS1 group B we played two round and there was only one winer.We also played a game called animal choir.Animal choir is a game where you get in to four groups and the teacher will tell you what animal you are as a group. The groups name will be Pig,dog,cat,and tiger then you have to sing as a group a song that the teacher told your group what to sing.

Places to visit in japan

We are doing a Rugby World Cup Challenge. We had to use our reading, writing, and maths skills to complete the task. Our task was to pick five places in Japan we really wanted to visit. We had to add in facts and why we wanted to visit the place. The places we picked were Mt Fuji, Osaka, Tokyo, Sapporo, Kyoto. Mt Fuji is the tallest point in Japan. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and the city alone is 3 times bigger than New Zealand. Sapporo is the largest city on hokkaido island. Kyoto is the largest city in japan and Osaka was once the capital of Japan

Our task was to write down three events that we think were really memorable and historical. The first one we did was the 1987 rugby world cup. I picked that because that was the first rugby world cup and the first winners were New Zealand or the All Blacks, the match was France vs All Blacks and the score was 29 - 9. The second was the 2011 rugby world cup because New Zealand won it again, plus the finals were France vs All Blacks again but this time France nearly won. The score was 7 - 8. The last one I picked was the 2015 world cup because New Zealand won it again. It was New Zealand vs Australia and the score was 34 - 17.

We were learning about the rugby positions. Our task was to match the player with the position. For example I had Richie Mccaw and two positions. I would have to match it with one of the positions. But we had to add some things because it was a little bit basic. I had to research a little bit about the players, like their physical information like their weight and height. We also had to find out some facts like if they've made and or broken any records. We then had to find out the main function or the role of the position.

We found out about the world time.we had to found out the time of the rugby world cup final and find the time that the finals kick off at different countries. AM stands for ante meridian and means before midday. PM stands for post meridian, and means afternoon. I learn that in big countries there are different times zones.

LI: to try make a Rube Goldberg machine with all the six simple machines.
We had to try make a Rube Goldberg machine with the simple six machines. A Rube Goldberg machine is a complicated machine to do a simple thing. It took us 2 tries to get every thing working. I was the person working with the wheel and axle. We used a incline plain, wheel and axle and a lever.
To create our machine we used a chair and some wood to make the incline plane. We used a car and a book to start our machine. Then someone tips the book, the book hits the car and the car comes down the incline plain, as soon as it gets to the bottom it's going to the person at the bottom of a table. The person at the bottom of the table is going to roll the ball in his hand. The ball then rolls and hits the person standing in front of the table. The person in front of the table is going to roll the basketball then the basketball comes down hits the person next to him. The when the basketball hit the person next to him, the person next to him slides under the table and hits the person that is at the finish. The person at the finish is going to roll the ball down the incline plain and the ball hits the cup with the dice in it.
The thing I found challenging was trying to get everything working. I would change people being under the table.

This week for swimming we were floating on our back and kicking our legs.
We also did one lap of freestyle and then we did two laps of freestyle while turning on our back to breathe,then we had a race in groups there were three people in two groups and one group had four people. Then the people that won in there group vs the people that won in the other groups in swimming.

We played a game that involved listening to the teacher like when the teacher said look up you look up when she said look down look down but if the teacher said look up but you look down you are out of the game and sit in the middle.
We also talk about challenge. A challenge is something that is difficult for you and we shouted go over and don't go under it.
One for the challenges the we had to do was to a puzzle with your group. We use some weird shapes to make cross. We use four triangles and two weird shape.This is a very difficult challenges.

Duffy Theatre
LI: To read books more.
This week all the class went to the hall to see the Duffy Theatre.
In the Duffy Theater we had to watch there play. There play was about Duffy going to Sam's house and when he got there sam was too busy on a game called Magic Bricks. My favourite part of the Duffy play was when Duffy started dancing. Remember its good to read. I learned by watching the Duffy play.
